A lacuna is a gap — an empty space waiting to be filled. We named the platform after the space a single painting can fill in a room, in a collection, in a day. Lacuna exists to close the distance between the people who make original art and the people who want to live with it.
For too long, discovering and buying original work meant navigating closed networks, opaque pricing and long waits. We built Lacuna as an open, trustworthy place where an emerging painter in one city and a collector in another can meet directly — where every work is authentic, every price is clear, and every artist is paid fairly for what they make.
